Nick and Niki Married!

I just adore Nick and Niki and was so happy to create the florals for their wedding day.  They both have such unique styles and wanted their wedding to reflect their personalities.   The wedding was all about vintage touches and DIY accents.  Ivory and whites dominated the floral palette with accents of orange, yellows, sea foam blue, and silver.  They started with their I Do’s in Little Italy and finished up with their reception at the Prado Balboa Park.  It was a perfect day to get married!

Kudo’s from the bride and groom:

Dear Kimberly,

All we can say is WOW!  You are AMAZING!  We were soo impressed the day of the wedding how everything turned out with the flowers.  Everything was so cute and personable!

Really Kimberly, you had to deal with our absolute destination wedding craziness, so we really appreciate the hard work you put in.  We apologize if we didn’t make this evident sooner!

I’m almost kind of depressed it’s all over, it’s not even funny how fast it goes by!
At any rate, I will speak greatly of your services where I can. Thanks for being so patient and flexible with us.  So professional and talented.
Hope you are enjoying your Sunday with the family!
Say hi to Marley for us…he’s so cute!
THANK YOU so so much.
Much love!
Niki and Nick

ROMP! The Ronald McDonald House Fundraiser

Flower balls and flower ring with chalkboard table numbers.  Daisies, carnations, button mums, liatris, gerbera daisies, and spray roses.

A beautifully groomed bed of wheat grass with colored square votive candles, gerbera daisies, orchids, and hot pink roses.

Pretty Pretty Parasols

It was a perfect sunny day for a parasol.  Whether it is a birthday celebration, wedding, or shower, these parasols made of paper can be as bold and colorful, or as neutral and toned down as you’d like. You can add one or two to a modern theme, or add it to your era inspired wedding. They are all versatile and I think they look great in any color.

Use bright, colorful accents to decorate your big day!  There are so many fun details in this inspiration board – they could be used for a wedding, a bridal shower or a fabulous summer birthday party!  The paper umbrella place cards, the napkin accented with a pink orchid, the colorful parasols to shade your guests from the sun…..I hope you find a way to use one of these ideas at your next party

Backyard Shabby Chic Birdhouses and Lanterns

Laurie Mitchel opened up her beautiful home to a small group of board members and donors of The New Children Museum.

In addition to the antique birdhouse and lanterns, butcher paper was place on the table and mason jars were used for the waters glasses.    Clearly a relaxed and uncontrived evening – guests were wearing jeans and coloring with pastels on the tables!  This is a great way to jazz up your backyard with friends and family without making it feel too formal. Cute. Unique. Sre to be a crowd pleaser.

Pastels were placed long the table so the guests could casual display their artistic abilities.

Bird nests, finches, sheet moss, beach rocks where incorporated in the design to create a shabby chic feeling to the event.  Accent of zinnias, gerbera daisies, giant dahlias, and succulents were tacked in to soften the natural elements.
