This wedding fell into my hands because another floral designer cancelled last minute on Nicole. I was able to create Nicole’s wedding dream, spur of the moment! I used black magic roses, dark burgandy sun flowers, eclectic varigated greens, and white roses to create Nicole’s aesthetic. La Valencia was a beautiful venue – intimate and charming. I feel thankful to have been able to be a part of such a wonderful project.

Laurie Mitchell
Laurie Mitchell often entertains at her beautiful home. In addition to surrounding herself with amazing art, flowers are always a necessity when she opens her home to her friends and family.

Westhem Wedding Reception at the Beach and Tennis Club, La Jolla August 2006
The La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club is a perfect venue for a casual wedding reception on the beach. Kick off your shoes and let your toes play in the sand, was the request from the bride on her special day. Bright, warm, tropical flowers was the theme. Red ginger, orange roses in full bloom, tropical tea leaves, cox comb, cimbidium orchids, and hypernicum brought the reception to life.
Buffington/Velez Wedding, May 28, 2006
The Buffington/Velez wedding was an intimate ceremony at a beautiful home in La Jolla, California. The bride chose pale pink roses for her simple but elegant bouquet. Phaleonopsis orchids, rose petals, and votive candles brought the home alive for the casual but sophisticated reception. A home or garden are one of my favorite venues for small weddings.

Series of 5 Vases, July 2005
Straying from the usual one vase centerpiece, here I used a series of 5 vase of different shape and sizes.
Call this a conversation piece incorporating modern design and monochromatic flowers. There were 5 tables each presented with a different color, making each table unique. Flowers used are roses, orchids, cos comb, and calla lily’s.
